Vince Peeler's Biography

Vince Peeler is a seasoned expert in cyber intelligence. He currently serves as the Human Risk Lead at Children's Hospital Minnesota. With a diverse background in military and corporate intelligence, Vince is recognized for his leadership in navigating complex cyber threats and building robust intelligence teams.

 

Vince’s expertise stems from his distinguished military career as a retired Naval Officer, where he flew information warfare missions and became one of the first Information Dominance Warfare Officers with an Intelligence Specialization. He has led teams tracking Al Qaeda’s cyber activities and has overseen cyber intelligence operations in high-profile organizations like Optum and Cargill. Vince now teaches Cyber Intelligence and Threat Hunting at Metropolitan State University while consulting for large enterprises through his company, Enlighten Cyber Intelligence.

 

A graduate of the University of Tampa with a BA in Psychology and holding an M.Ed. in Multimedia Development from the University of Minnesota, Vince has also pursued advanced studies in cybersecurity. His accolades include multiple Air Medals and leadership roles, such as serving as the Vice President of the IT-ISAC. Vince has shared his insights on platforms like Dark Reading, Cyber Wire, and Recorded Future and recently launched “The Intelligence Cycle” podcast.

 

Currently residing inn Maple Grove, MN, Vince is a devoted family man with four children, including twins. His unique journey through intelligence and cybersecurity continues to drive his passion for helping organizations develop and mature their cyber intelligence capabilities.
